A look at reading, chess and hands-on skills that support children, young people and women in their learning journeys.
Libraries remain an important foundation of Kuwongola Initiative because access to books and information can transform how children and young people understand their opportunities. Weekly reading, storytelling and comprehension activities create space for learners to explore ideas and build confidence.
Critical-thinking activities such as chess help children practise concentration, planning, patience and respectful competition. These skills support learning both inside and outside the classroom.
Practical skills programmes connect education to everyday livelihoods. Sewing, soap making and small-business basics are part of the Initiative’s commitment to entrepreneurship and women empowerment.
The wider goal is to support learning from early childhood through tertiary education and into community leadership.
